Synergy HTX Multi-Mode Microplate Reader

Synergy™ HTX Multi-Mode Microplate Reader is an entry level system for 6- to 384-well microplates offering superior filter-based performance in fluorescence and luminescence with the convenience and flexibility of monochromator-based UV/Vis absorbance optics. Incubation to 50 °C and shaking add functionality, and the powerful Gen5 software provides complete data analysis.

BioTek’s Synergy HTX Multi-Mode Microplate Reader automates absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence measurements with a unique dual-optics design.  Convenient monochromator-based absorbance measurements from 200 to 999 nm in 1 nm increments are made using a xenon flash lamp, with signal detected by a silicon photodiode.  Fluorescence determinations are made using a tungsten halogen lamp with interference filters for wavelength specificity in conjunction with a PMT detector.  The separate optics paths provide uncompromised performance in all detection modes.

Synergy HTX is appropriate for a variety of applications, with features like its unique 4-Zone™ incubation for optimal temperature uniformity. A programmable condensation control mode prevents moisture from building up under the plate lid, adding even more environmental controls for sensitive cell-based assays and long term kinetic measurements.  Orbital and linear shaking are user programmable and an available dual reagent injector allows important inject/read applications like enzyme kinetics and Dual-Luciferase Reporter assays.

With the excellent optical performance of Synergy HTX, assays like AlphaScreen® and AlphaLISA® can be performed with results comparable to much costlier systems.

With BioTek's versatile Take3 plate, up to 48, 2 µL samples can be measured at one time – great for high throughput direct nucleic acid and protein quantification.

Its robust hardware design allows Synergy HTX to operate in a wide range of environments, including 4 °C and 10 °C cold rooms for temperature sensitive applications.  For greater throughput and process automation, Synergy HTX can be integrated with a BioStack stacker or other automation platform.

Pulling it all together is the powerful, easy to use Gen5 software for all reader control operations, data analysis, reporting and export options.
