Overview:

The Agilent BioTek Lionheart FX automated microscope is a compact system for a broad range of imaging workflows. It offers up to 60x air, in addition to 60x and 100x oil immersion magnification. Combined with fluorescence, brightfield, color brightfield, and phase contrast imaging channels, the imager provides maximum application reach. An optional environment control cover provides incubation to 40 °C, in addition to effective containment for CO2/O2 control to enable performance of cell-based assays. A humidity chamber can be added to optimize conditions for long-term live cell imaging applications. An available dual reagent injector also facilitates rapid kinetic assays.

Lionheart FX provides the perfect environment to grow and analyze live cells over time. Autofocus customized for your sample types and labware

A. Image-based autofocus is available on all Agilent BioTek imaging systems. It focuses on the plane of highest contrast in the sample, including “shifting” biology within the well.
B. The BioTek patented autofocus method uses the same focal offset from a laser identified interface unique to each well or area to be imaged. It is typically faster, works with dim fluorophores, and helps prevent phototoxicity and photobleaching. Laser autofocus also offers better reproducibility and higher accuracy during long term kinetic imaging.
