- Any BioTek customer is eligible. BioTek employees or distributors are not eligible.
- Images must be captured using a BioTek Cytation or Lionheart instrument.
- Images must be submitted as follows:
- Uploaded to the BioTek Image Competition entry landing page. Images must be in TIFF format. (Please submit the highest quality image with regard to file size, bit depth, and resolution but do not have a file size that exceeds 10 MB. If you need to downsize your image, such as a montage image, we recommend using Gen5’s auto-downsize feature)
- Each entrant may submit up to three images for judging. Each image must be uploaded separately and terms of conditions much be accepted for each.
- Entries will be judged by BioTek’s scientific team.
- Entries must be received by July 31, 2021.
- The three prizewinners will be notified by August 30, 2021.
- By submitting an entry to the contest, you agree that:
- You give BioTek non-exclusive irrevocable, worldwide rights to use your name, institution and the winning image as BioTek sees fit.
- You certify and warrant that you hold the rights to grant such permission and agree to hold BioTek harmless in any disputes that arise out of image ownership/rights.
- Image copyright remains the property of the owner even though permission to use and modify imagery for publication is given to BioTek.
- Should submitted images have more than one individual to be credited, the names must be provided on the entry form. Individuals entering the competition also warrant that they have the right to enter the image on the other parties’ behalf and holds BioTek harmless in any disputes that arise thereof.
- Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by local laws.
- Taxes, if any, on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner.
- This contest falls under any rules and regulations for such contests by the laws of the United States, including Copyright laws.
- BioTek reserves the right to change or modify the rules at any time without notice.
