Warehouse Clerk

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player to join our shipping/receiving and main stockroom area as a Warehouse Clerk.

Responsibilities include:

Shipping: Prepare and package the staged material according to standard practices or special instructions.  Prepare all documentation required to transfer the parcels to the carrier.  Perform accurate transactions, correct problems, or errors.  Distribute and maintain documents.

Receiving: Review incoming parcels; perform unpacking and packing list verification activities.  Process receiving activities and documents per procedures and documents.  Distribute documents appropriately and maintain document files.  Process transactions of material or services per procedures and practices.  Process claims against carriers for damaged (incoming and outgoing) freight. Distribute received materials to the proper destination and ensure paperwork is completed. Report and correct problem receipts.

Stockroom: Transact, transfer, and deliver material as required with documentation.  Pick and stage material.  Perform accurate transactions.  Perform material cycle count and inventory activities.  Initiate and perform diagnostic and analytical work to solve problems.  Perform any other routine duties and special projects that may be assigned by the Supervisor. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent with strong reading, and math skills.
  • Capable of lifting 30 lbs. 5 feet vertically without assistance.
  • Valid Vermont Drivers License
  • Previous training in total warehouse and logistics methods, equipment, and facilities desired.
  • Previous experience in working with warehouse computer systems or PC applications desired.
