Field Instrumentation Specialist
BioTek, now a part of Agilent is a market leader in detection and imaging instrumentation for life science and drug discovery research. We are recognized globally for our innovative product line and excellent customer service. Our global customers include academic, government, and biotech/pharmaceutical companies. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our Service Team as a Field Instrumentation Specialist (Field Service Engineer).
Primary responsibilities include providing on-site technical assistance to our customers including installation of BioTek’s product conducting end-user training and troubleshooting diverse/complex technical issues. The successful candidate will ideally reside in the Detroit/Ann Arbor MI area.
We will consider candidates with one or more of the following qualifications:
- Experienced field service personnel that have a minimum 3 years experience servicing laboratory instruments.
- Experienced laboratory technologists that have a minimum 3 years experience with the use and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Experienced biomedical technicians that have a minimum 3 years experience servicing laboratory instruments.
- Biomedical engineers.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills, BS/BA in the Life Sciences and a minimum of two years service experience with complex medical instrumentation. Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with experience and ability to lift/carry 50 pounds are also required. Experience as a laboratory technician is strongly preferred. Candidates must be willing to travel primarily in their designated territory but also periodically to other territories within the U.S.
