2013 Governor’s Award for Outstanding Workplace Safety Vermont Safety & Health Council, and the Vermont Small Business Development Center presented BioTek with the 2013 "Governor's Award for Outstanding Workplace Safety" in the Large Business category at a ceremony in South Burlington, VT.
2012 Governor’s Worksite Wellness Award BioTek was awarded the 2012 Worksite Wellness Silver Level Award by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports and Vermont Department of Health and was one of 63 businesses that applied for the 2012 awards. This is the second year the company has been honored with a Silver Level award. The awards recognize employee wellness programs that decrease absenteeism and employee turnover, and lower healthcare costs.
Vermont 5x5x5 Growth Award 2012 For the third time in five years, BioTek Instruments was recognized as a recipient of the 5x5x5 Growth Award at the 10th annual awards ceremony on Monday, September 17, 2012.
2012 Scientists’ Choice Award BioTek Instruments received the 2012 Drug Discovery Product of the Year - Scientists' Choice Award for the Synergy™ NEO HTS Multi-Mode Microplate Reader. The award, sponsored by SelectScience, was announced September 5th at ELRIG Drug Discovery in Manchester, UK.
2012 Best Places to Work Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce recently named BioTek Instruments in their 2012 "Best Places to Work in Vermont" list. As one of 22 companies honored, BioTek was honored for benefiting Vermont's economy, workforce and businesses.
2011 Governor’s Worksite Wellness Award BioTek received the 2011 Governor’s Worksite SILVER Wellness Award at 2012 Vermont Worksite Wellness Conference Held on March 29th.
Frost & Sullivan 2011 North American New Product Innovation Award for Workflow Solutions in Life Sciences BioTek received the Frost & Sullivan 2011 North American New Product Innovation Award for Workflow Solutions in Life Sciences. Independent analysis by Frost & Sullivan research teams determined that BioTek excelled in its commitment to improving technology and streamlining workflows to other companies in their business category. This focus has resulted in the launch of over 20 new BioTek products in the market over the past four years.
Vermont 5x5x5 Growth Award 2011 Vermont Business Magazine and KeyBank once again recognized BioTek as a recipient of the 5x5x5 Growth Award at the 9th annual awards ceremony on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
Vermont Deane C. Davis Award 2009 BioTek won the 2009 Deane C. Davis Outstanding Business of the Year Award. Named for former Vermont Governor Deane C. Davis, the award was presented to BioTek by Vermont Governor Jim Douglas. The award, created by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, annually honors a Vermont company demonstrating a strong commitment to economic growth, a positive work environment and local community support.
Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year BioTek was chosen to receive the Business of the Year distinction because they showed tremendous growth in a sector that is strong and looks to remain strong in the future. Additionally, as active members of the community, BioTek gives back when possible, and offers good wages to employees, reflected in high employee retention rate.
2009 Waste Reduction Award BioTek Instruments and our Green Team have been recognized by the Chittenden Solid Waste District (CSWD) as winners of the 2009 Waste Reduction Award. This annual award was presented to BioTek for our company-wide efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.
2009 Best Places to Work As a first-time participant, BioTek, secured top honors in the Best Places to Work Awards, Large Companies category. The third annual awards, sponsored by Vermont Business Magazine and supported by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Society of Human Resource Management, and the Vermont Departments of Labor and Economic Development recognized five large companies and ten small-to-medium companies in Vermont, each chosen based on surveys from each company’s employees.
2009 Supplier of Choice Award BioTek received an award from Fisher Scientific Canada, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The ‘Supplier of Choice’ award was presented to BioTek in Toronto, Ontario at Fisher Scientific’s annual sales meeting on January 20, 2009. Fisher Scientific’s instrument specialists and general sales representatives voted for the supplier that provided the best overall support to help grow Fisher’s instrumentation business.
Vermont 5x5x5 Growth Award 2008 BioTek Instruments, Inc., has been recognized as one of Vermont’s Top Five Technology businesses via the 5x5x5 Growth Award. Jointly presented by Vermont Business Magazine and KeyBank, the 6th annual 5x5x5 Growth Awards acknowledge five Vermont businesses that have experienced the greatest growth over the past five years in each of five business categories.
